Window Caulking

  1. Cut out caulking around window frames as required.
  2. Inspect, clean and open improperly sealed weep holes in entire window system.
  3. Clean, prime and repack all caulking joints using proper-sized backer rod to assure proper width-to-depth ratio.
  4. Apply bond breaker tape where needed to avoid improper three-sided caulk joint.
  5. Seal prepared joints using proper-colored polyurethane or hybrid sealant.
  6. Tool each joint using a dry metal pointer to assure smooth, wrinkle-free bond.
