- Cut out caulking around window frames as required.
- Inspect, clean and open improperly sealed weep holes in entire window system.
- Clean, prime and repack all caulking joints using proper-sized backer rod to assure proper width-to-depth ratio.
- Apply bond breaker tape where needed to avoid improper three-sided caulk joint.
- Seal prepared joints using proper-colored polyurethane or hybrid sealant.
- Tool each joint using a dry metal pointer to assure smooth, wrinkle-free bond.
